2D1N Cat Ba – Lan Ha Bay Tour from Hanoi

DAY 1: HANOI – CAT BA ISLAND (Meals: – / Lunch / Dinner)

• 07:45: Depart from Hanoi. Our guide and vehicle will pick you up at the Hanoi Opera House or 9 Cho Gao Street, heading towards Cat Ba via the Hanoi – Hai Phong Expressway and crossing the Tan Vu – Lach Huyen Bridge—the longest sea-crossing bridge in Vietnam.

Note: Departure times may be earlier on weekends. Please follow the guide’s instructions provided the day before.

• 11:30: Arrive on Cat Ba Island. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, check in to your hotel, and relax.

• Afternoon: Free time to swim at Cat Co Beaches 1, 2, or 3

• 18:30: Dinner at the hotel or local restaurant. Evening at leisure—explore Cat Ba town, visit the night market, or enjoy the local atmosphere. Overnight in Cat Ba.

DAY 2: CAT BA – LAN HA BAY – VIET HAI VILLAGE – KAYAKING – HANOI

(Meals: Breakfast / Lunch / –)

• 05:00 (Optional): For early risers, we recommend a morning visit to the Cannon Fort, accessible by electric car or motorbike taxi. From here, enjoy panoramic sunrise views over the islands and sip a coffee in the fresh morning air.

• 07:00: Breakfast at the hotel

• 07:45 – 08:00: Transfer to Beo Pier

• 08:30: Board the cruise and begin your Lan Ha Bay exploration

• 09:10: Pass by the historic Cai Beo Floating Village, one of the oldest in the Gulf of Tonkin. Capture beautiful photos as the cruise passes iconic islets like Hon Cu Rua and Hon Dua

• 10:00: Visit Viet Hai Ancient Village, a remote, rustic community preserved in its natural state. Enjoy a scenic bike ride through the coastal paths and national park, try fish massage, and explore local homes

• 11:00: Arrive at Hang Luon – Tay Keo, receive your kayak, paddle, and life jacket. Begin kayaking through tranquil caves surrounded by limestone cliffs and crystal-clear water. The peaceful setting makes this a highlight of the trip

• 12:30: Enjoy a seafood lunch on board, featuring local specialties from Cat Ba

• 13:30: Swim at Van Boi or Ba Trai Dao Beach (depending on water conditions). Relax, take photos, and enjoy the turquoise waters of Lan Ha Bay

• 15:00: Return to the pier. Transfer back to the hotel to collect your luggage, then board the bus back to Hanoi

• 20:30: Arrive in Hanoi. End of tour. We hope to see you again soon!

• Tips for driver and guide:

  • Suggested minimum: $3 per day x 2 days = $6 per person per trip

👧 Children Policy (Please read carefully)

• Children aged 1–4 years (not yet 4):

  • Free of charge, but parents must cover all related expenses

• Children aged 2–under 4 years:

  • Charged 350,000 VND for the Lan Ha Bay boat trip

• Children aged 5–9 years (not yet 10):

  • Charged 75% of adult price

  • Includes separate meals and seating, but shares a bed with parents

  • 2 children in this age range do not qualify for a separate bed

• Children aged 10 years and above:

  • Charged at full adult rate

🦐 Seafood Purchase Policy

• Seafood must be cleanly sealed in a styrofoam box

• Do not bring seafood into the passenger cabin

• Drivers may refuse transport if seafood is not properly packed

• Overloaded seafood may be declined due to limited luggage space

• Drop-off Point: Tour ends at the Hanoi Opera House
